Paramedics are first-response medical professionals. They intervene in emergencies and provide medical solutions. Paramedics operate like EMTs but are able to conduct a broader range of intervention measures. Paramedics must make quick assessments of medical situations to provide life-saving care. Then they provide care with minimal risk to patients.

Comprehensive Training in Advanced Medical Care

You will learn the complex knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation. Courses utilize clinics and field trips to train students. Paramedicine students learn:
- Advanced medical intervention
- How to assess traumatic injuries
- How to work within the larger healthcare system

Students have the option to pursue an associate degree or multiple certificate pathways. Graduates will be qualified to take the paramedic certification exam.
