Certified Medical Technician/Insulin Admin Short-term

Elevate your skill set

Increase your knowledge and qualifications as a CNA to provide medications to patients. 

Administer patient medications

Receive more training as a CNA! You can boost your qualifications by becoming a Certified Medical Technician (CMT). CMTs do CNA duties but also give medications. Work under an RN to:

  • Set up medications
  • Give medication to patients
  • Record dosage times and amounts
  • Ensure patients take medication properly

Classroom and Clinical Learning

Training is for qualified, active CNAs in good standing for at least six months. Learn through a combination of classroom learning, job shadowing, and clinical practice. 

Upon completion of all training components, you will be eligible to take the state exam and have your name placed on the state registry. These certifications are issued by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
